Orange County Education Facility-Orange Coast College

Mary McChesney is a former instructor at Orange Coast College, and years after her retirement she has returned to the institution and donated about $1milion which the institution management plans to use the donation to purchase equipment used to demonstrate earth rotation which is known as Foucault pendulum. During the donation; the retired instructor; mentioned that the device will be of a great benefit to the community as well as the science students. According to the education facility officials, the pendulum will be one of its kind in the Orange County. Ms. Mary is now over 90 years and during the donation, she did not forget to mention her love for the college and he also said the donation was in honor of her partner; Andelyn Bonin who passed on in January 2017.

Adelyn Bonin was also a professor at Orange Coast College and she taught German at the college until 1983 when she retired. Ms. Mary was glad and hoped that her partner; Bonin was happy when she gave the donation and she hoped that she approved. Mary also taught at the college until she retired in 1983. She was an English and Spanish teacher for more than 33 years. Doug Bennett is the executive Director at the college and he said that Ms. Mary was a great contributor in the institution.

 

Orange Coast College is an exceptional educational facility that has been providing more than 135 both academic and educational careers. The education facility which was established in 1947 is located in Costa Mesa not many miles away from the California beaches. Ever since its foundation; the College has been experiencing a tremendous expansion with it registering and admitting more than 2500 students each semester. Orange Coast College is among the educational institutions which have the latest technologies. In the Orange County; Orange Coast College records the largest number of students who are enrolled in the University of California and California State University. The college also has active clubs which students use for their extra curriculum activities. Some of these clubs include sports team among others. The education facility also has an Associate student body. Orange Cost County is a commuter college which serves local residents.
